Where are Dermal Fillers Most Effective?

Dermal Fillers Beverly Hills, CA

Dermal fillers are not one-size-fits-all. Some dermal fillers are more effective for specific issues than others. Dermal fillers are an ideal option for patients seeking noninvasive solutions.

1. Cheeks

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is for deep injection in the cheek area to correct volume loss.

2. Lips

Do you want to add volume to your lips? JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® may be the solution. Not only does this dermal filler provide lip augmentation, it also addresses lip symmetry. JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® is effective for reducing the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.

3. Double Chin

KYBELLA® is an injection used to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” It is not known if KYBELLA® is safe and effective for the treatment of fat outside of the submental area or in children under 18 years of age.

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are volumizing dermal fillers that are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth).

4. Nose

While a rhinoplasty can provide the nose you’ve always wanted, noninvasive dermal fillers can temporarily change your nose’s structures. A filler containing hyaluronic acid can change the shape of your nose for much less than the cost of surgery. The entire procedure takes 15 minutes. Expect results to last six months or more, after which time you can repeat the procedure.

5. Forehead Lines

Botox is not a dermal filler per se, but it is among the most effective treatments for reducing forehead lines. Botox works by relaxing the muscles beneath the injection site. Forehead lines are plumped and softened. Botox is also recommended to reduce the appearance of eyebrow furrows – the “11s”– and frown lines.

6. Deep Wrinkles and Folds

If deep wrinkles and folds appear around your nose and mouth, there’s a dermal filler that can soften them. In this case, it’s Juvederm Vollure, designed to address these most obvious signs of aging. This filler replaces lost facial volume. Results can last 18 months or longer.
