Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in Beverly Hills, CA
What is Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery?
BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT BENEFITS
Increase Your Butt Fullness
For many women, a full and shapely buttocks is a symbol of femininity and sensuality. When the gluteal area lacks fullness, it can appear undefined. A Brazilian butt lift can help you achieve a fuller backside, one that contributes to a curvier and more attractive overall figure. For many women, Brazilian butt lift helps them fill out pants better and opens a wider range of clothing for them to wear.
Restore Balance to Your Figure
A small butt may be preventing you from having attractive curves. Your buttocks may lack definition in comparison to the rest of your body, thus creating a disproportionate figure.
Brazilian butt lift solves this problem by removing surplus fat from one body area and using it to increase fullness to flat or small buttocks. The procedure is considered by many people as a two-in-one procedure because it slims down one area (or multiple areas) and adds the desired amount of volume to the buttocks. Imagine removing fat from the abdomen, flanks, hips or thighs and achieving a fuller buttocks — all in one procedure!
Increase Your Confidence
For many women, achieving sensual curves and a rounder, shapelier buttocks helps them feel more attractive. Feeling comfortable and happy with your body often boosts your confidence. Having better self-esteem can help you be more assertive and hands-on in your life. Many women find that their newfound confidence dramatically affects their success in other areas of their lives.
Are You a Candidate for BBL?
You may be an ideal candidate for Brazilian butt lift if you:
- Are bothered by a small, saggy, shapeless or flat buttocks
- Have surplus fat from one or more body areas (e.g., abdomen, hips, thighs, flanks)
- Want better body curves and a more proportionate figure
In addition, ideal candidates for Brazilian butt lift should be in good overall health, not smoke and have realistic expectations of surgery. They should also understand the risks associated with Brazilian butt lift. Charles S. Lee, MD meets with each patient individually to determine whether they are a good candidate for the procedure. During your initial consultation, he will evaluate your natural body type and butt shape to discuss the best options to achieve your butt shaping goals.
Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure Details
In a Brazilian butt lift, liposuction is used to reduce excess fatty tissue from troublesome areas of the body such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, and back. The removed fat is processed to eliminate unwanted oil and other tissues. Once the fat has been purified, it is injected into the buttocks through a series of small incisions using a syringe attached to a cannula. The fat is injected into strategic points on the buttocks to create the desired outcome, whether it be a shapelier buttocks, a lifted buttocks, larger buttocks or all of the above. The fat is grafted in multiple layers to tailor the shape of the buttocks, which helps ensure a smooth deposit of fat.
All incisions are then closed with sutures. The treatment area is dressed with soft surgical bandages and a compression garment is placed on top. It is important that you wear the compression garment for however long your surgeon directs you to do so to facilitate healing and to help ensure good results.
BBL Surgery FAQ
What will my recovery be like following Brazilian butt lift?
You will experience some bruising, swelling, and redness after the procedure. Direct pressure cannot be applied to the buttocks for eight weeks. For the first two weeks following your procedure, you should avoid sitting or lying on your back at all times. After this time, you may attempt a sitting position using a pillow to take pressure off the buttocks.
Most major swelling should subside after three months. By this time, you should be able to resume your normal activities, including sitting and exercise, but only with surgeon approval.
Is butt augmentation painful?
General anesthesia is used during Brazilian butt lift for a pain-free procedure. You may feel mild discomfort following your procedure. The added weight to the buttocks takes some time getting used to for some patients. All associated discomfort is controlled using oral pain medication prescribed by your doctor.
How much does BBL cost in Beverly Hills?
The cost of Brazilian butt lift is determined on a patient-by-patient basis. Many factors, including surgical fees, anesthesia fees, the technique used, and the extent of correction, will affect the ultimate cost of your procedure. On average, Brazilian butt lift pricing begins at $9,000. An exact quote will be determined during your initial consultation.
Will my procedure result in scars?
Mild scarring is possible as a result of Brazilian butt lift. Scarring is common at the site of liposuction and the injection site for fat transfer. Great care is taken to place all incisions in discreet locations that can easily be hidden using clothing, bathing suits, and underwear. After surgery, it is important that you follow all of your surgeon’s post-op instructions to aid proper scar healing. Protect your scars from sun exposure and apply sunscreen whenever outdoors.
Is fat transfer permanent?
In the first year following fat transfer, you may lose some of the initial volume as the body absorbs some of the transferred fat. The fat that remains is permanent and may provide you with long-lasting results.
How can I maintain my results?
The best way to prolong your results from Brazilian butt lift is to maintain a stable weight. Once you’re cleared to resume exercise, stick to a healthy diet and exercise regimen.
Which is the better option for me: Brazilian butt lift or butt implants?
An increasing number of patients favor Brazilian butt lift over butt implants. There are quite a few reasons for the preference:
- Using autologous fat provides a more natural look and feel than what can be attained with a medical device.
- Fat is easier to sculpt to achieve the desired shape and contours. Butt implants are stiff, and depending on where and how they are placed, the edges of the implants may be visible through the skin.
- Many patients appreciate the opportunity to slim and sculpt the area from which the fat is taken.
- Butt augmentation with implants can be risky. A small number of patients develop infections or experience implant displacement or the formation of hard scar tissue around the implant.
When will I see results from my BBL?
You will see an immediate improvement in the volume and shape of your buttocks after surgery. However, post-operative bruising and swelling will obscure the results. It will take approximately four to six months for your BBL results to finalize.
How long will my results last?
This depends on whether the transplanted fat develops a blood supply. If it does, you will be able to enjoy your results for many years to come. Remember that your buttock profile will change over time as you get older, but these changes will happen incrementally. You will always be glad you had Brazilian butt lift!
What happens if I gain or lose weight after surgery?
Since the transplanted fat cells are your own, they behave as natural fat cells would. If you gain a substantial amount of weight, the cells will enlarge and your butt will appear bigger. If you lose a lot of weight, the fat cells will shrink. Fluctuating by a few pounds generally will not make a noticeable difference.
Is BBL similar to “butt injections”?
“Butt injections” is a slightly ambiguous term referring to the injection of foreign substances to volumize the derriere. The outcomes of receiving butt injections from an unlicensed provider can be devastating and even catastrophic, because these providers may not use FDA-approved substances. Unlicensed facilities and providers have been known to inject substances such as non-medical silicone or even PMMA that are not safe for medical use.
Because the different methods of buttock augmentation can be confusing, choose your provider carefully. The only buttock augmentation option our practice offers is fat transfer using your own fat with the Brazilian butt lift procedure.
Can Brazilian butt lift be combined with other procedures?
Absolutely. If you are looking for improvements beyond what BBL can deliver, you have the option of combining the procedure with something else. For example, you may choose to balance out your newly enhanced buttocks with breast augmentation. Or, you may benefit from a tummy tuck to tighten up your abdomen.
Procedures that treat the front and back of the body are usually not performed during the same operation, but they can be staged out separately. Our team is happy to provide our professional recommendations after a comprehensive evaluation with Dr. Lee.
